Anita the Insect Collector - tone

  1. I think the speaker's tone was kind of somber and detached. Like this was something that the speaker was saddened by, but she realizes that there's nothing she can do about. So she's still sad, but distant from the actual story.

  2. I think that it was detached, and indifferent. It seemed like the narrarator who was also her sibling just sat and watched what happened. He/she never gave their opinion on anything, but I wish that they would've said what they thought because I wonder how it affected them.

  3. I agree with Mat, I that that authors attitude was sorry because, you know that's their sister and it's hard losing someone you've been close to all your life, but the speaker knows she didn't have any control over what was happening.

  4. I agree with Jordan, it seemed to me as if the sibling just watched everything happen and accepted it, so I also think the tone was indifferent. I think this was the tone because after Anita left, the sibling said that everything was going fine for them, and they didn't say that they were worried about how Anita was faring.
