Anita the Insect Collector-fairness

In 3-5 sentences, was Anita's banishment from the family fair to Anita? Fair to the narrator? Why or Why not?

  1. I don't think it was fair to anita because she didn't get help right away when she started ascting all weird. I don't think it was fair to the narrator either because he/she didn't know that something was wrong with Anita.

  2. In a way Anita being banished is sort of fair in the sense that she was a crazy nuthole. I think that it isn't totally fair because no one should be banished and they should be able to get help.

  3. I don't think that it was fair. obviously, she has a mental issue that needs to be adressed. Not to mention, she was pregnant, if she hadn't miscarried when her dad beat her, she wouldn't have been able to take care of that baby properly by herself. That's dangerous to her and the baby. Plus, her dad beat her up at least twice. No matter what happens, you don't beat your kid up like that.

  4. I dont think it was fair for the family to kick Anita out. They should have liked
Anita no matter what she did. It also wasnt fair to the narrator because he/she didnt think Anita was doing anything wrong.

  5. It was not fair for Anita, because many people are weird *Cough**Cough* and do many weird things *Cough**Cough*. It is also not fair for the narrarator because she needs a sister no matter how messed up. :D not :O

  6. Anita's punishment wasn't fair for anyone. Anita didn't deserve to get hit, then sent away to her relatives house. Her parents should've never given up on helping Anita, and even though she did some weird things her parents shouldn't have given up on Anita.

  7. The banishment of Anita was not fair on the family's part. I think they made Anita grow up so fast and she didn't have time to do what she wanted to and to learn things that a lot of us learn at a little age. And when Anita does do something wrong, Her parents are mad because to them, she's perfect and no one else compares to her and they love her so much that their love for her was too strong that it turned into hate. I don't think it was fair to the narrator because they took they punishment out on him/her. Because of Anita's behavior and decisions, when the narrator turns 15, he/she has to go to a military school.

  8. I think the banishment was fair in some ways and unfair in others. The parents shouldn't have total banished her, it was partly their fault the way she was. If they didn't push her so hard, she wouldn't have run away so often. They didn't give her freedom, and they forced her to study constantly. Anita had no real life. But the fact that Anita threw away everything her parents worked for was not fair to them.

  9. I don't think Anita's banishment was fair to her. I do think it was fair to the narrator though. I don't think it was fair to Anita because she just wanted to be with people who understood her. Also she was under so much pressure she cracked. I think it was fair to the narrator because then she didn't have to be around her sister and become crazy like her. Also after Anita's rampage the parents learned to put less pressure on their other child.

  10. In some ways it was fair, but mostly it wasn't. Anita was their daughter, and it's their responsibility to turn her to the right direction. Banishing her was just giving up, because she was different. Beating her and her baby was obviously not the right thing to do. Sure, she's never done this before, but that's way you got to stick with her to make sure she doesn't too far.

  11. I thought it was unfair that her parents kicked her out of her house. I personally think that a parent(s) should always love thier child. Eventhough Anita pretty much lost her mind, her parents should love her unconditionally. Even if she went from a inspiration to a mindless goof.
