America is proud to be capitalist. It means that the "average Joe" can become quite successful financially. Mikel desperately wants to teach Ilunga that his hard work can pay off, but it means teaching Ilunga to be more of a capitalist. Does Ilunga make the right decisions?
I think that Ilunga makes the right decisions for himself and Michel doesn't need to teach him about being a capitalist. Otherwise he'll get confused with the teachings of his village and Michel
ReplyDeleteHe did make the right decisions even though he gave all his fish away, because he is the cheiftan, and as cheiftan people look up to you. Not always money wise but more helping wise.He may not be able to pay the debt for his wife, but certinaly gained more trust in his people
ReplyDeleteI think Ilunga made the right decisions because I think that he is old enough to know what to do and can learn from his own mistakes.
ReplyDeleteI think he made the right decision because he wants all the people to like him in the village and it's there was to share with everyone. I don't think Michel has the right to change that and I don't think he should try to change it either.
ReplyDeleteYes because didn't exactly do something bad he just tried to get his family back. He made the right decisions, at least i would have made those decisons.
ReplyDeleteI think that it somewhat makes sense, because as chief Ilunga does have responsibility of his people in a way, and him giving them the fish was part of his job. But I also think that he has to think about himself and his own family a little and kept a little bit more of the fish for himself.
ReplyDeleteYes i think llunga makes the right decisions because he is just being nice to his family and his village and is helping them stay alive. He may not get his wife back yet but people will take more care of him now that he was generous to them.
ReplyDeleteI think Ilunge made the right decisons beacause he is helping the whole villiage and still makes some money. He might have saved some little kid's life. He could have saved more fish to pay for his wife, but in time he will get her back
ReplyDeleteYeah he did geerosity can seem painful at times but you have to remember one key component carma
ReplyDeleteI think illunga made the wrong choice. Why should have had to given any fish to the others when they ridiculed and laughed at him for making the effort to make the fish pond.So i think it was a waste of his time to make the fish pond and feed the fish and to take care of them it was all a big waste of time to me.
ReplyDeleteLlunga could be more assertive and keep more for himself so he could get his wife back, but he was being unselfish by giving some away.
ReplyDeleteI think Ilunga made the right decision by giving away his fish, but he shouldn't have let the villagers be so greedy. Michel should also know that Ilunga is older and wiser and knows how to make good enough decisions.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, I think he made the right decision because he put others before himself and decided to be more giving. He probably wouldn't be able to pay off the debt to get his wife back, but at least he would be able to get more respect from his peers in the village.
ReplyDeleteI think Ilunga made the right decision because he cared and gave to others and put them before himself. I think this shows that he has respect for all the other people in his village.
ReplyDeleteI think that Ilunga made the right decision to give away his fish to the villagers. He earned their respect, and I think that now the villagers will appreciate Ilunga's work more.
ReplyDeleteI think Ilunga made the right decision because he gets paid more money and he is known as a kind giving man to the villagers.
ReplyDeleteI believe Ilunga makes the right decision, because he was raised with this sort of life style. You can't just expect him to change on a dot.
ReplyDeleteI think that Illunga chose the right decion. Because he is showing an act of kindness to by giving his harvest to the villagers, now people will have more respect for his work.
ReplyDeleteNo, capitilism is something that I understand but don't get why people do it.
