Bedrooms

Melinda hates her bedroom. She says it is a "postcard of who I was in fifth grade." She says Heather's room "screams Heather." How might a room be a portrait of who you are? What does your bedroom say about you? What does your friend's room say about him/her? What would you want your room to look like or say about you?

  1. A room might be a portrait of who you are because it shows how organized you are, and your personality. My friend's room says that she is into...kind of oldies/classical stuff; she has dust purple walls and a border with Bette Davis and Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers and people like that on it, and chrome lightswitch covers....I think it's awesome. I would want my bedroom to say that I have good taste and I'm not a total goody-goody like everyone thinks I am.

  2. I agree with Katie mostly on the personality part. Most of my friends either share or room or don't have time to design it. Like me for example, i have a couple of notes from friends and puppies on my wall. It's not that clean but it is conforting. if i could change my room it would have lavender walls with clouds painted on them. I want my room to crave the moisture of the air. To show the sensitive but fun side of my personality.

  3. A room can be a portrait of you by showing what your interests are, like showing awards or trophies. My room says that I'm messy and artistic-ish. i have my walls, bulletin boards and dresser covered in STUFF. If I changed my room, it wouldn't be pink, but green, blue, tan, and purple. It would be AMAZING! My friends' room says that she is also artistic, messy, and into purple and reading. it is stuffed to the gills with junk. It sure resembles mine!

  5. I think a room really shows who you are. If you have a lot of band posters on your walls, people will know instantly what type of music you like. If you only have a bed and your clothes, it might say you really dont spend a lot of time at home, or you're really poor.

  6. I would just love to design a room. My room right now is messy and has lots of stuff everywhere. The walls have the wood looking panels and like a deep purple wall. I didn't really get to design it. If i were to design it, it would be HUGE! There would be a giant tv, and a bunch of roomy/homey type stuff everywhere too. Like a bean bag chair, a desk filled with art stuff, a book shelf with a bunch of good books, an insane stereo system, and probably a stage.

  7. What my room says about me.I just redesigned my room with my mom.We painted it yellow, orange, and fire engine red.It still needs some work though on the furniture design. It's not perfect but for me it says ukaitylady.

  8. If I could re-do my room and make it scream "LAUREN" it would be very relaxing but bright. My room right now is light blue, ick right? ha. Im re-doing my room soon and its going to be teal and dark brown. So its more grown-up but kiddish at the same time. Who does want to grow up to fast? NOT ME! My mom explains my room as a tornado went through it, so i guess im not the most organized person. I love candles and decorations, and being CREATIVE with things!

  9. My room doesn't describe me at all. My room is pretty blank and i have a colorful personality and I htink its important for my room to show that but it doesn't. My best friends room screams kitties. My best friend loves kitties and her room says that with all of the posters and all of her cat stuffed animals.
