Speak
Yesterday we touched momentarily on the cover of the novel. A girl is shown with no mouth. The title of the book is Speak. Melinda won't share her secret, hence a girl with no mouth. We do not know Melinda's secret yet, but we will. Do you think some secrets that are personal should be kept? What kinds?

Sometimes it depends on the consequence and the conflict of the secret, like Mel's. Who can she tell it to, what will their reaction be? The type of secret that shouldn't be kept secret is the type that can get someone else hurt. Even if they do get mad at you it's ok because you have now just been the responsible person about the situation by taking charge.
ReplyDeleteI think that the only kind of secrets you should keep are the ones that wont get you in serious trouble. Say that you were gonna throw someone a suprise party. Or personable ones like if your parents were fighting or something. The kinds of secrets that you shouldn't keep are the ones that can really affect other people. Like if your parents beat you, you shouldn't keep that a secret.
ReplyDeleteSecrets that are okay not to tell is something personal. Let's say you do something you shouldn't do, but no one knows. I think it would be okay to keep that a secret because it won't affect no one. Secrets that shouldn't be kept are one's that affect a lot of people in a big way.
ReplyDeleteI think that some secrets are personal. Secrets about your health, how much you weigh,etc. There is other secrets that need to be told no matter how hard and painful. It was very hard for Melinda to tell someone her BIG secret. If you ever have a BIG secret like melinda tell someone right away. There are other secrets that arent really that important, like who you like its not too important except to the person who is tell you this.
ReplyDeleteI think that some secrets should be kept to yourself. Like if they involve someone that has nothing to do with you in the secret. But if its a secret that your getting hurt and it wil scar you for life you should tell someone because you never know, they could help you. Even in Mel's condition she would get Andy in trouble, it wouldnt matter because he SHOULD get caught for what he did to her.
ReplyDeleteI think that some secerts should be kept a secert, like if its about maybe some family problems like if your parents drink a lot or if you maybe told someone who you liked they should keep it a secert. Some secerts should be told even if its hard for you to tell even if its hard for you.Thats why it was so hard for Mel to tell her secert to Rachael her secert because she was dating Andy Evans.
