When Porourangi is on one of his art trips he meets her. When he come back they all find out that Ana and him are going to have a baby. Then Koro yells at him for it to be a boy and he says "well then I hope it's another girl!" Kahu is happy was so excited to have a bother or sister. In the book she says that she wants the baby to be a boy so Koro will love him. In the end a girl is born
Kahu is going to have a little sister. I don't think Koro is mad about the baby being a girl because he learned from Kahu that it shouldn't matter.
