  1. I liked that Orwell didn't want to kill the elephant, but I didn't like that he was giving into the pressure from the villagers.

  2. I think that he could have done better with the group of people by not listening, because police can overule a normal citezen if they think they are right. Plus, the elephant was not hurting anyone anymore.

  3. I agree with TimWhers. I like that he really didn't want to kill the elephant, but I didn't like that he just gave into peer pressure and shot the elephant because he didn't want to make himself look bad. The elephant had killed someone, but he wasn't hurting anyone anymore, and Orwell didn't even go up to the elephant to check if it was better. He should have done the right thing instead of just doing what would make him look good.

  4. Orwell just wanted to be like by everyone, even if that means he has to do something he doesn't really want to do. That's what i don't like him about. What i do like about him though, is how he didn't want to shot the elephant, but took the gun just in case. I was very disappionted with Orwell gave into peer pressure and shot the elephant.

  5. I didn't like Orwell, he was sort of a coward. He thought about how people would think of him if he shot the elephant. When in fact Orwell has the authority over all of them to make the call. He should've left the elephant alone until it started causing more trouble or signs that it wasn't done ranting around town.
