In the Shadow of War

I wasn't here when you all read "In the Shadow of War." I'd like to hear any reactions you have to the story.

  1. I thought the short story "In the shadow of War" was interesting. I thought it was interesting because I think the main character was hallucinating due to the extreme heat, and he saw things that weren't there, like the dead bodies of men that were real, and that he thought they were something else I can't remember. I think he was hallucinating the men shooting the woman, but I'm probably wrong.

  2. The whole story made me feel as though I was dreaming. It gave me the kind of that really happend? feeling. That kind of feeling you get when you dream about something that you have to do the next day. It seemes as though it could happen, but you just get that weird feeling that something's off. Then you wake up and things are twice as confusing. Then you have to throw cold water in your face so your head can clear up. I don't understand why, or how he woke up when and were he did. It made me feel like nothing ever happend, but then again he believes it did.
    ((I think I'm ranting))
