Morals/ Ethics

Describe the morals of the aboriginal women in the film (grandmother/mother/daughters/cousin). Describe the values of the whites (Mr. Neville, the nuns/the ration keeper). Are their values so much different? How or Why?

  1. They are completely different from eachother. Mr. Neville is trying to force the girls to leave their families. He is trying to outbreed the aborigonal out of the girls. The girl's family is protecting them from harm. They aren't being forced to leave or outbreed their heritage.

  2. Much, MUCH, different. The aboringinal women's morals are to the group, or the tribe, and to each other. The white people morals are more for themselves, and greed.
The fact that they thought that they could out-breeed the heritage in those girls is just sick. That's what i think.

  3. The morals of the Aboriginal women is to take care of their children and have a roof over their heads, same as the white women/nuns. Their morals and ethics are not so different. They all think they're doing the right thing.
