If you could sit down with Latifa, what might you ask her?

  1. I would ask her if she wanted to go back to Afghanistan. Is she terrorized about all that has happened throughout her life? Does she have nightmares? Questions along the lines of those.

  2. I would ask Latifa how it was like to go through rocket fire. What were you thinking when you heard the rockets fall? How bad were you scared? What was going through your mind when you were hiding/covering yourself from the blasts? I would ask questions like that.

  3. I would ask Latifa if she misses her siblings. It must be hard to have your house taken over by the Taliban and lose some of you family. I would also ask her if she is going to stay in France for the rest of her life, where there isn't war going on.

  4. I would ask her... What was it like growing up BEFORE the Taliban? Was it still difficult with fighting or bombings?
Do you really want to return to Afganistan? Reasons for returning and not returning?
Would you ever consider being a refugee and coming to America till it is safe of the Taliban or staying in America forever?

  5. There is alot of questions i have in mind for her like the one alli would ask, "did you want to go back to Afganistan." I would ask her what it's like to have basically all of your rights taken away? How did you feel to have no freedom when the taliban invaded? Were you physically and mentally effected? I would ask her alot of questions like that.

  6. I would ask her how she felt having to grow up with no chance of educataion or any time of life? I would also ask how she dealt with all the bad that came over Kabul. Also how she dealt with having to do everything your told, or otherwise being killed. I would wanna know how hard it was for her to leave Kabul, not knowing what was going to happen. I would wonder how it felt to share her story with everyonee world wide, thats something i could never do. I would ask things like that and more.

  7. I would ask Latifa how it was having to go through so much pain and how she dealt with it all. I would also ask how she deals with what she has seen the taliban do to people and how she feels about that.

  8. First, I would ask her what her real name is? I would love to also like to feel the emotion she was feeling at the time because reading the book just doesn't give me enough feeling. If she would like to go back to Afghanistan? And, did her anger change towards the Taliban? I she sad for them, does she want to see them suffer as she's seen her friends, family, and loved ones? I wanted to know if she went back to school and got that education she needed that the Taliban deprived of her for so many years?

  9. Would you go back to Afghanistan? I know it's an emotional subject for her, but I'd ask her to explain her feelings as well as she could. To almost paint a picture for me. I'd try to not bring up her lost family members much, because if I were Latifa, I wouldn've want to be reminded of my family after a tradegy.
