Torn Invitation-POV

How might this story be different if it were told from Harry's mother's perspective? Or Frankie's?

  1. I think that if it was told from Harry's mother's point of view, she would talk more about how she had trouble getting through without knowing the language. I think she would also talk about how she felt kind of rejected by Harry because he ignored her.

  2. I think that if the short story was written in Harry's mothers perpective the story would have been more depressing. It would have been more depressing because when she say Frankies letter she would have gotten very disappointed in her son for not wanting her to come. She always tries so hard not to be seen and now he doesn't want her to come.

  3. It would be interesting from the mothers perspective because I am curious about her thought process and the way she views the situation as a whole.

  4. I think that if the story was told in the mother's perspective, it would be in a way depressing like Kajersta had said. I think that the mother would tell how sad she would be, how her son is embarrsed of her and how he tore up the invitation.

  5. I think that is the story was told from the mother's perspective, it would be pretty sad. She would probably sound pretty depressed, and you would get more of her thought process. Does she really know what her son thinks of her? Does she understand why her son thinks that about her?

  6. I think the main thingthat would be different fromt he story if it were from his mother's point of veiw, would be because she can't speak english very well, it would be hard to read. But other than that you wouldn't figure out anything until the very end because she is cluless.
