"End of Skill" and Culture

We discussed the fact that culture seems to get lost as generations pass through the years. After all, America is the "melting pot" and old traditions give way to American values and American traditions. Is this good or bad?

  1. I think it could be good or bad. It's cool to be able to say something has been passed through so many generations. But it's good to have change too.

  2. I think that it is good to keep old traditions, because it reminds you of where your family is from and what your heritage is.

  3. This is bad because I think that the culture of many people is very sacred and when more immigrants that come to America will be thrown off.

  4. I believe that losing your sense of religion is bad. The reason for this is that, it's good to keep old religion. If you lose it, you'll lose part of you. That's why I think losing religion is a bad thing.

  5. It's good to keep your old traditions but I think it is also good to make new traditions.

  6. It could go either way. I think it's is good. now people have their own traditions. like eating turkey for thanks giving. They don't do that in Germany. Point showed.

  8. I think this is good because many old cultures traditions and believes restrict you from doing things that are necessary to make money in todays world.

  9. I think it's good in a way because you can build up new beliefs, but I also think it's bad because you can alter old cultures.

  10. I think that it is kind of sad to see old traditions become extinct, but at the same time, America uses a mix of different cultures to get its customs and culture.

  11. I think that it is good to keep your tradition of your country but it could also be good to sort of adapt to another culture.
