Ishmael doesn’t believe in revenge. “What I have learned from my experience is that revenge is not good. I joined the army to avenge the deaths of my family and to survive, but I’ve come to learn that if I am going to take revenge, in that process I will kill another person whose family will want revenge; then revenge and revenge and revenge will never come to an end” (199).
What can you add? What is your perspective? Is revenge a natural feeling? What can you do to avoid seeking revenge?

I honestly think that revenge is something that majority of the people would want if they knew who killed their family. It's a natural feeling you would feel if somebody killed your family, and you would obviously have the urge to do something worse in return for revenge to them so that they know how it feels to take away something or someone away forever that they love.
ReplyDeleteI think that most people would want revenge if they knew who killed their family. It just comes to you naturally to feel that way. Especially if you were really close to them.
ReplyDeleteI agree with him because if one person kills another for revenge than a person that was friends or family, will kill you and it would keep going on and on and on. I think revenge is natural because if someone is mean to you, you would be angry at them automatically. I don't really know what you could do to avoid seeking revenge but i think you should try not to revenge people.
ReplyDeleteRevenge is a nasty thing that affects almost everyone but it seems whenever you try to get revenge it backfires on you. I would like to say I don't ever feel like getting revenge but I think that everyone feels it at one point in there life. I think that if something wrong happens you should talk to someone or think before you act.

ReplyDeleteRevenge is a horrible thing, especially if your family was killed because of it. Revenge is a natural feeling, and it's really hard to avoid it.
ReplyDeleteRevenge is something that can take control of a person. I understand that people would want revenge for their families, but I would say to myself, "they are in a better place, and I have been given the chance to start over." A lot of people would want to avenge their families deaths, but killing someone else is not the way to do that.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Ishmael. Revenge is a terrible thing to feel, but I think that its very natural for people. You can't really control it. But in the end, you may feel very guilty for feeling the need to seek revenge on a person. However, for some people it is easy to avoid and for most people it is hard to avoid.
ReplyDeleteI think Ishmael is right, if people keep taking revenge it will never stop. Everyone has felt like they wanted to take revenge on someone at least once in their life. Revenge is hard to avoid because people want to get even with the other person's action. You should just really think before you act then bad things might stop. Just bethe bigger person.
