Rabbit Proof Fence

The British people in the film, led by Mr. Neville, thought they were doing good by "breeding the Native out of them." "Them," being the aboriginal people, of course. He felt that by not allowing these "half castes" to marry full aboriginal people, eventually, they would become "useful" to society. Because they believed they were doing good, can they be blamed?

  1. No I don't blame them because if you think it's the right thing to do then do it. You can't stop someone from doing the right thing that they think is right.

  2. Yes you can! Any sane person would realize that any society of people, no matter how primative by current standards, has feelings!
Why didn't they realize that children DIDN'T like being away from their families? Why does dark skin make you "useless" despite the fact that little kids are able to fool your entire police force? Ignorance like this has no excuse.

  3. I think that they can be blamed. If you think about what you would do if the aboriginal people would do if they tried to take the white out of them and put them in camps they would be doing the same thing.

  6. They can be blamed because how would they like it if the aboriginal people did that to them.

  7. They can be blamed. I think just because they're skin is darker doesnt mean that they're worth any less than white people or they're dumb.
